Tag State Parameter Descriptions

Explanations of state parameters are given below.

General Settings

Parameter Description
Transmit rate The frequency of how often the tag transmits packets. Higher rate drains the battery quicker.
Response mode Determines how often the tag listens for commands from the Quuppa Positioning Engine. Fast mode listens for QPE roughly twice per second. Balanced mode listens to QPE roughly once in every two seconds. PowerSave mode listens to QPE once in every 10 seconds. Faster response mode drains the battery quicker.
Transmit power Power used to transmit packets
State timeout: Time after which the tag transitions to the default/storage state.

Trigger Sensitivity

Parameter Description
Trigger level Trigger sensitivity threshold level that causes a trigger and thus a transition to the triggered state. The lower the value the smaller movement will cause a trigger. If set to off, no accelerometer triggering is done. A suitable value for different use cases may be determined by testing.

Payloads

Data to be transmitted from tags to the QPE. Tag status [STA], number of triggers [TRIG], battery voltage [BAT] and Device info [DEV] data is always sent. Accelerometer [ACC] is the only optional data.
