Q17 Locator Quick Start Guide

Thank you for purchasing the Quuppa Q17 Locator.

The Q17 Locator works with the Quuppa Locator Subscription. The Subscription is Locator-specific and needs to be valid to operate the unit. The Quuppa team has already created the subscriptions for you.

This guide will walk you through the steps needed to set up your new Q17 Locators using:
  • Quuppa Customer Portal (QCP)
  • Quuppa Site Planner (QSP)
  • Quuppa Positioning Engine (QPE)

This guide has been divided into two sections as the process of setting up a project with only Q17 Locators differs slightly from the process of setting up a mixed system including both Q17 and LD Generation Locators. Please follow the instructions relevant to your project.

Note: Before you start setting up, update your system to the software release v6.0.3 or newer. Also update the Locator Firmware. To do so, follow these steps:
  • Software - download the latest version from the Downloads section in the QCP. Alternatively, if you are running the system on a Quuppa Development Kit Controller PC, you can use the update software icons available on the desktop.
  • Locator Firmware - connect the Locators to the QPE Controller PC and follow the instructions in the Upgrade Firmware for All Locators section.
