Adjust Background Image Transparency

The Alpha slider is a handy tool in the QSP that enables you to adjust the transparency of the background image shown in the map view. Increasing the transparency can be useful in many cases, including if you have multiple background images that overlap (e.g. WGS-84 image & floor plan background image for the project) or if the background image includes many strong colours that interfere with the accurate editing of the project (e.g. big blocks of black that make it difficult to see crosshair points). Follow the steps below to use the Alpha slider.

  1. Open the project in the QSP.
  2. In the object tree on the left, select the background image that you want to edit.

  3. In the panel on the right, use the Alpha slider to adjust the transparency to the level that you want.
