Quuppa Tested Devices

Quuppa Positioning enables sub-meter accuracy with a sub-second latency – regardless of the Bluetooth® device type. While most tracked devices are simply asset and people tracking tags, there is a growing trend towards tracking, e.g. smartphones and handheld scanners.

To help our customers choose the best performing devices, we have our own testing and certification programme for these devices.

Get Your Devices Tested by Quuppa

Quuppa Tested is a certification category that is reserved for devices which are typically designed for some other purposes than positioning. The category itself is not exclusive by nature of the device. The key requirement for devices in this category is to have a radio that can transmit Quuppa Direction Finding packets (as specified in Quuppa Emulation Specification) at least on one of the Quuppa tracking channels.

Once the correct packet transmission is confirmed, device’s positioning performance is being tested in the office environment as well as in the field environment. Depending on the device type and nature of its use with Quuppa System, some other technical and practical tests may be introduced.

If device is deemed to perform satisfactorily considering its common use and usage environment, Quuppa grants the manufacturer right to use “Quuppa Tested” mark and Quuppa Trademark in the manufacturer’s marketing materials.

For Quuppa Tested Device certification, the key requirement is to have a radio that can transmit Quuppa Direction Finding packets (as specified in Quuppa Emulation Specification) at least on one of the Quuppa tracking channels. Once correct packet transmission is confirmed, the device’s positioning performance is being tested in the office environment as well as in the field environment. Finally, we will evaluate the antenna radiation pattern (subject to availability).

Quuppa Approved Tags are so-called Native Tags that are based on Quuppa Tag FW libraries and support natively Quuppa SW suite. Quuppa Tested Devices can be based on Quuppa Tag FW libraries, but they can also be Emulation devices, and the test coverage is much more narrow.
